GOA made it easy to write your senators in opposition to the gun bills being proposed.
(Edit: there is a letter written to senators I wanted to post here that specifically relates to the gun control agenda and the recent Colorado shooting. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s posted on their site yet, but if you are a GOA member, check your email. )
Didn’t millions of us write, email, phone calls, real peaceful protest (VA), VOTE! For years we did this, and they stole everything, even our piece of mind. We are no longer living in a safe world or in a world where you have recourse to the law!
I am extremely surprised at some of the names, they will “go down” in history! Maybe like, the statues, their names should be forgotten and never spoken of or voted for again, let’s get “woked”, that’s right, our votes don’t count!
I agree and understand the sentiment, but this is also how republicans lost the two Senate seats in Georgia. Giving up the fight just makes some of these policies inevitable.
The truth is there is only so much we can do, but the GOA makes writing elected officials a 2 minute process. The only things I’m able to do are donate a little bit to the GOA and write letters. Will it make a difference? Maybe, if many people do it. Maybe not , but I feel obligated to do what I can for my kids sake. I often feel my generation is screwing this country up for my kids. I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t do something about it.
my senators are blumenthal and murphy…I gave up after letting them know I was more law abiding than they were, and had the security clearances and background checks to prove it, yet am somehow treated like “the enemy.”
New motorhome today, house projects nearly complete, calling a realtor and hitting the road in search of a new home in a free state. Psyched, momma is too.
If the state’s on the fence pro/con, yeah, you’re absolutely right. Unfortunately, I feel here in the Northeast except for Maine and NH at the moment, it’s a lost cause. Went back and forth with murphy and blumenthal for years, , and seeing their responses to Boulder…well, I’ll put my energy towards getting out of here.
I’ve done it. But sorry to say both of my Senators are democrats. Kelly which along with his wife have and anti-gun foundation which they started shortly after she was shot. And Sinema. And when I had an issue and asked for some help she just passed me off to someone else without helping.
