This white stuff is also causing confusion with the courts in Kentucky. Courts are closed today but there is a message on the Court’s website “Those who have remote court proceedings scheduled during this time should check with their court about any cancellations.” But the news stations are just saying courts are closed. I had a 9:00 case in a county outside Louisville this morning. It was being dismissed but I didn’t know if that county was doing court and the Clerk’s offices phones were not being picked up. Shortly after I got on Zoom the judge pops on and the case was dismissed. I’m glad I was there but I am sure there are going to be hundreds of people throughout Kentucky who will have no clue they should be zooming in on their case. I’m sure they will be rescheduled.
I didn’t think Kentucky got snow. I thought you only got sheets of ice.
I moved to Kentucky from Eastern Pennsylvania in 1991. When I moved here, I checked comparisons of Philly v. Louisville weather. Louisville averages about 1 inch less of snow a year but we get more icing. Louisville used to have better springs and falls and Philly gets substantially hotter in the summer than Louisville. It is rare to have a 100 deg. day in Louisville but it is not uncommon in Philly.
Downside is NO ONE from Louisville knows how to drive in the snow. And if you see someone with a turn signal on in Louisville, they probably bought the car that way.

It’s snowing again.
This is in a parking lot, 3 blocks from my house. It’s out in the open, so not a lot of snow drifts.
Sleet and freezing rain… Got plenty of food, beer is running low. Please send help. 
So far we’ve dodged power loss. We even got enough snow over night to cover tracks.
We got to get you one of those “cat filters” for your court dates using Zoom 
I know a few judges who would get a kick out of it. Most would put you in jail for contempt.
It would be hilarious to have everyone in virtual court with animal faces!
Our Cit just issued a water restriction. Gotta fill up buckets, tubs and sinks.
Damned amateurs, have to FREEZE their water before they ski on it.
