I have a big freezer full of free range protein and fish, plus a couple of weeks (maybe a month or two) of everything else. Besides fuel. Not enough of that if things go REALLY south.
What you’d probably say I stockpile is ammunition parts (primers, powder). I still don’t have enough, and I am noticing that I’m going through it faster than ever. (YAY to lots of range time).
Looking back at all the time before these days came along, the one thing I wish I’d have finished before my family passed would have been the installation of the propane 15kW gen set and automated switch facilities I purchased when we first moved into this house. There was always something. Then there was I couldn’t do anything and couldn’t afford to job it out. Then, well, people started passing and the next thing I know
At this point, I think the generator, a goodly fuel tank, and the switch set can be placed on a utility trailer, towed to where it is needed, and used on-demand. Yes it would be rough and “dirty” but better that than what I have. No, that’s not right, the 3kW honda is a good simple cover for refrigeration now. (Ok, I could add another 20 gallons of gasoline around here somewhere!)
What used to be my man cave/knife collection room, now has reinforced windows and door and become our emergency supply room. I keep enough of everything I need on hand to keep me and wife going for 6 months.
Ammo. It seems to be the first thing to go when things go south a bit. You know, like now. Not just training ammo either, even the good stuff seems right scarce at the moment. First Covid, then the riots. We live in strange and disturbing times my friends.
Just wait till November if President Trump is re-elected.
