Weapons relocation recommendations

Hello everyone,
can anyone recommend/suggest the safest and legal way to transport weapons across the country, aside from using a FFL? I’m moving from the NE to the southwest and I would rather transport my weapons myself, however I know that NY, NJ etc. even though I can conceal carry in my state and should be protected by the Firearms Owners Protection Act, so states can be jerks. thanks in advance

Are you flying? Driving? How many firearms?

NY law says you can transport in car as long as not accessible and you are in the state less than 24 hours.

Go to the state recipirocity map. Put in your state. Then for those that don’t honor the permit from your state lookup the laws through same place.

Driving firearms your own car seems to be the best option for you.

There is plenty of information you can find on Internet (be sure to read a valid ones) how legally transport firearms. Please noticed - transport, not carry.

Soooooo, you’re a gun runner. Good we’re looking for tack drivers!

Guess we’ll just have to open our own gun running operations!

I would suggest you plan a route that takes you through the least populated parts of those states, and get thru them as quickly as possible. Like taking the northern route through NY and avoiding NJ altogether. I think passing through rural northern NY seems like a safer way than cutting near NYC.
