The gist of this video is about inflation that has destroyed the purchasing power of Americans. One of the first things economists learn in macro-economics classes is a Milton Friedman quote: Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon,
Printing money devalues the currency and manifests itself as inflation. Both Ds and Rs engage in this exercise as it’s politically easier to simply print money to finance social programs and military adventurism than it is to ask the electorate to pay more in taxes.

Who says they ask? Anymore our politicians simply impose taxes. We are beneath them in their minds.
