VICTORINOX "Alox" Utility Folders

If you’ve got the $$ to burn for these, stick to their “Pioneer” and “Farmer” models - the Pioneer has the usual four blades - the Farmer adds their aggressive saw blade for $10 more. Both have 3.7" grips, and the comfortable “knobby” grip textures common with this line. The only good, cheaper alternatives you have are the SCHRADE “Uncle Henry” “Staglon” and “Old Timer” utilities - they dispense with cutesy-fartsy tools, but both have claw-type can openers, a feature VICTORINOX lacks. The SCHRADE knives should ADD a saw-blade - ALL of them need to have the awls moved to the centers of the BACKS of their knives, to allow the grips o function as T-handles.

I have to disagree; a cheaper alternative would be any good official Boy Scout style knife or even those US milsurp pocketknives with steel scales .
Victorinox are very cool though.
