Another good reason to get into reloading. Components are often easily found even when manufactured ammo is in short supply.

Seems like like small pistol primers became rare as hen’s teeth last time? I think the Police, Military, and possibly the IRS bought up the supply?

Browning designed the 1911 with an external extractor…and then changed it in mid-test to help US Army feel more “comfortable”, as the US “Brass” thought an internal extractor would be more “GI Proof.”

He was one smart dude!
