The Swamp Deepens

And the swamp just got deeper…

  • Pfizer has named Patrizia Cavazzoni, the former head of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) drug review division, to serve as its top doctor. Source Epoch Times

This is the stuff that ensures payoffs, quid pro and the rest.

Dr. Cavazzoni was most recently Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she ensured the availability of safe and effective medicines and led the regulatory and policy decisions on prescription and over-the-counter medicines. (read that as RMNA vacs/Covid)

Patrizia Cavazzoni, M.D. will rejoin the company as Chief Medical Officer, Executive Vice President. In this role, Dr. Cavazzoni will lead Pfizer’s regulatory, pharmacovigilance, safety, epidemiology, and medical information and evidence generation, among other medical functions, and will report to Chris Boshoff, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer and President, Pfizer Research & Development. Here is the key! She did what she was supposed to at the FDA for Pfeizer and now returns for her reward it would appear.

If it were someone going from a lucrative job at Pfizer for Government pay I would say the swamp is getting deeper. A former federal employee moving into the private sector not so much. Sure she has contacts and knows who to grease the wheels to get through the Government machine but so do plenty of other people. She is no longer on the Government Dime and she cannot award Government Contracts or spend Government money. I think we are perfectly safe with her being in the Private Sector.

I still see the conflict of interest.

Well you will see a lot of conflict of interest with all the former Federal employees who will be swept up by the private sector for more pay since they are unemployed. These people were not going to sit on the street corner and beg, they are going to get jobs in the private sector.

No I agree with that.

But for her to be in the government passing legislation that benefited the private sector company she’s now working for…

Well it certainly looks like quid pro quo’s to me.

She was going to get fired, she moved on as we wanted.

Now she has contacts within the government to lobby with. Yes the revolving door between government and businesses is a huge problem, period.

Sometimes the revolving door stops. I once admired this guy. His greed lead to the reign of Nancy Pelosi.

I was more concerned with her at the FDA as she came there from Pfizer. Install the correct decision making people at the FDA now and we should have less of a concern of the FDA approving untested Pfizer drugs.
