Oh, I’ve got stories…
Like the PFC who came home after a 12 month deployment to find a month old newborn. He was so happy to be a father, and all the NCOs were standing there like…
we had the same thing happen too!
after returning from the 1st gulf war (1991). except after returning the baby was born, and she was a (lets just say) a noticeably different color.
Ooh ooh pick me, pick me
This story would be really funny if it wasn’t true. Not sure how many of you know that the Military can make you do certain things in your personal life.
I met a girl at a night club in Milwaukee while I was doing one of my HM trainings at The Great Mistakes, Chicago, Illinois, Naval Base.
We had fun, blah blah, blah blah blah, and then I got going in my training and didn’t call her. Was just a fling… Yeah right, so not a fling.
Long story short. Her Dad knows a Senator on the Senate Armed Forces Committee. That Senator called Command and wanted to know why I had not called her back.
Funny in hindsight, So, so, so, not funny while it was happening.
My old job.
Photographer?
Just kidding!
Very cool!
beat me to it I was going to say the same thing.
I hated fueling thise A6s & the E1B used to use avgas. It was kept in a tank with a nitrogen coferdamn around it. You fart & it blows up. Old school for sure
Reason #1 why you dont see cats in combat…
