There are several ways to cool things off. Just for explaining my comments. My job included doing inspections at plaices where I was not a Plesant visit.
Some things worked well some didn’t.
When I walked in the door I made it as pleasant as possible.
Several times another inspector had a weapon pulled on him.
I was the one that had to go smooth things down so I could get situation cooled down.
My background includes 10 years of martial arts starting in my thirties. By the early 40’s I had earned two black belts and received a certification for world wide referee.
What I’m attempting to say is that I was never known for any of that but rather for my sense of humor. for 17 years I was an expert for our lawyers. I never lost a case and never went to trial.
What am I trying to say? There are so many ways to cool off someone. Yes even in a gun possibility. Not saying that your weapon should be the last. Only you can determine that.
Fortunately excellent training will show the way. I’m 76 and have not had a fight. I haven’t lost any of them either! I believe in this training!
