I don’t know why the old dude answered the door in the first place and without a weapon on his person? I guess there’s no fool like an old fool .

Why? Two reasons:
- for last 80 years he was happy man living his happy live without such brutality against him
- he lived in a place where “nothing ever happened before”
Sometimes people cannot accept the facts that World changed and completely safe places don’t exist anymore.

We installed a steel screened security door at our front entry. It looks nice, provides good ventilation and has not been able to be breached by Portland SWAT, short of a truck and chain. Made and installed by Mascotte Security Doors in Portland, Oregon. This door stays locked when we open the front door and is a good visual (and actual) deterrent.
