That is a lot to respond to. I will do my best. I don’t have enemies. I know it is unconventional but true. If someone is trying to murder an innocent person it is because they want to be stopped. How they want to be stopped varies. Some need to be shown a little resistance, some need to be rendered unconscious. My dog will alert us to anyone coming up our driveway. I think it is worth mentioning I carry my gun on my side all the time. My AR is on the window sill mainly for coyotes which goes in the safe at night.

I have a strong feeling that @Robert1246 is one of those guys that is extremely peaceful, until he’s forced not to be, then he’s terrifying (kind of like Israel).
I wouldn’t want to be an unwelcome intruder venturing up his “jeep road.”
Also consider going through all the settings in your devices. Often things get added or changed with software updates. I recently found out how to enable all my echo devices to verbally announce detection of people on my ring cameras. Just the little beep from the ring app wouldn’t have been enough to wake me, but having the echo’s in every room going off gives me a better chance and maybe even a little deterrent for the BG’s.
I went even further.
It’s always better to prevent than act, so my door bell makes a “beep” and lights a small blue circle on, once somebody is approaching my door.
I already got rid of door-to-door people. Once they hear “beep” and see the light, they turn around and go away…
For early warning, get any one of the number of “driveway alarm” type of systems. Some are very expandable, with zones, multiple sensors and receivers.
Speaking about security around the house.
Perhaps it’s not the solution for everybody, bit if you are living in rural area without close neighbors, you can check system called: “Active Deterrence cameras”.
It’s super easy to install and configure and it’s first purpose is prevention.
Always a gun on me and I’m not going to open the door if I did not invite you over but I have a couple of large German Shepherds that talk some serious trash to anybody who approaches the door.
When at home my EDC is with me with a few exceptions when it can’t be carried (shower, sleep, etc). My EDC pretty much goes on when I get up in the morning and goes in the nightstand when I shower before going to bed. Having to retrieve my EDC in an emergency isn’t an option I look forward to and that’s why I keep it close.
Nice Set-up. I keep one much like it, Muzzle-Down, in a corner 2 steps from my bed, with an old shirt thrown over it to cover it. “Grab and Go”. My House - Yard/“Outside Gun”. And one of my Combat-Competiton Guns. A Caution for you - if you have not “shot a gun” INSIDE your bedroom or any room - I also now keep a set of Electronic Ear Muffs by my bed. 1st time I shot just a 9mm in the house - took me 5-10 min before I could hear ANYTHING. Not to mention it was VERY PAINFUL - ie HURT LIKE HELL. Guessing your Night-Stand Gun is a Hand-gun, something like mine(Full Size S&W 9mm, w/mounted light) ?
