Trump granted permission to seek dismissal of hush money case

NEW YORK (Reuters) -A New York judge on Friday granted Donald Trump permission to seek dismissal of his hush money criminal case, in which he was found guilty earlier this year, in light of his victory in the Nov. 5 U.S. presidential election.

Trump, 78, had been scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 26. But prosecutors with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office earlier this week asked New York State Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan to consider deferring all proceedings in the case until after Trump finishes his four-year presidential term that begins on Jan. 20.

Lawyers for Trump, a Republican, have argued that the case must be dismissed because having it loom over him while he was president would cause what they called “unconstitutional impediments” to his ability to govern.

Bragg’s office said they would argue against dismissal, but agreed Trump deserved time to make his case through written motions.

Merchan on Friday set a Dec. 2 deadline for Trump to file his motion to dismiss, and gave prosecutors until Dec. 9 to respond.

The election didn’t go ANYWHERE near the direction they were convinced it was going to and now they understand that a DOJ headed by a someone who believes in accountability could be rather unhealthy to them and their rectums in particular, so disappearing off the radar is a healthy thing

Remember they are leaderless. The most prominent Democrats right now re in their 80s an riddled with dementia or in Pelosi’s case pumped full of psychotropics to the point her jaw is working at 100 miles an hour when she’s just standing doing nothing.

So right now those mayors and governors are running speed trial to see who gets point position for a run in ‘28. And we know with them the most reckless mouth wins.

They are now desperate and they KNOW the ONLY things they can shine on since no one trusts them on crime or the economy, is abortion and protecting the illegals they brought into the country.

So they will all do that to protect the extreme left core constituents that idiots like AOC and the rest of the squad can count on to continue getting elected and try to gain national prominence which the idiot press will give them by the shovelful.

Over the next few year we are going to see some CRAZY shĂ­t coming out of the most prominent ones, but as you mentioned they are cowards and as soon as ICE and DOJ change one with felony counts of protecting illegals the rest will have to rethink the strategy since their bench is NOT that deep.

Trump has hinted at chilling Free Speech and the First Amendment. His picking Bondi proves he aims to do just that. They want to make sure no one can say anything bad about Israel in America. That is their main concern.

Not sorry to have to tell you this, Drumpf & Bondi: you can’t do that. It’s a frontal assault on our Bill of Rights and First Amendment.
