Im sure MI has legislation written up just for something like this to ban them. You know before they were weapons and now they are accessories type of thing.
In my state absolutely nothing changes… The nfa lives… For now. I am still very excited. Historically a very pro gun pro hunting pro American constitutional state. Surrounded by some of the most communist states in the union standing strong as a lone survivor. Under constant relentless attacks from the socialist party against our second amendment and largely unyielding. It’s been our Supreme Court that’s saved our rights on several occasions and our socialist governors vetoing our fairly voted in rights on the eleventh hours that’s kept us from being fully satisfied. I know it’s coming. It’s coming soon that we’ll realize our God given rights full potential. Just a little longer now.

I’m right back where I started. My state goes by the NFA rules so I still have to file a form 4 and wait, and wait, and wait.
Nope, the NFA is still alive*#%@&.
I love how the AG said it only applies to the government entities, and not the citizens of the states listed in the lawsuit.
So, reinforcing the “rules for thee, but not for me” hypocrisy.
It does open every single door for the NFA to be sued out of existence for being unconstitutional on the face of the 2A. Which it very clearly is in every way shape and form.
Ill wait til the dust settles when it comes to suppressors. Im sure the lawsuits are just starting.
Heard we had a positive ruling when it comes to 80% receivers. Im sure that will be stayed and go to SCOTUS also
The last form 4 I did (end of july) took 3 days. Submitted on a Monday at 16:30, approved 08:00 Friday. Not saying i agree with the requirement, but the turnaround is far better than it was not long ago.
That would be good. Last one I bought they were saying that turnarounds were a week or two. It took six weeks for me. Hopefully it does get better, but I just don’t want to fill out more forms than I have too. I just want as much freedom as anyone else in the US should have and some do.
If NC doesn’t change its laws to get away from NFA regulations nobody in the state will be able to buy one if the NFA goes away!
I got in touch with Silencer Central and my lgs here in WV, where I’ve bought suppressors before. Both are requiring form 4’s, but submit pix and prints on file. I can order a can, show my permit and be on my way, after getting approved 
Saw an interesting post in a nfa forum where someone mentioned that old carrot dangling scheme our politicians like to do. Make you feel freedom is right around the corner, get you excited, get your vote, then yank that carrot 'til the next cycle. We’ll see, but recall being puzzled how the nfa got to remain a control authority last January when the tax went away. How’s that 50 state reciprocity going?
Short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns still require a Form 4 in all 42 legal states. This is a separate requirement under the Gun Control Act (GCA) — unaffected by this ruling. The Form 4 is currently the only form the ATF makes available for GCA approval on SBRs and SBSs. The $0 tax stamp still applies.
So the tax stamp registration is unconstitutional,…..
Any register of firearms is unconstitutional,…..
Suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs are all constitutionally protected arms…..
How exactly then does ANY aspect of the NFA have ANY AUTHORITY?

The source? You guessed it: unnamed anonymous sources. It’s completely FALSE.
**More importantly - ATF respects the Court’s ruling and the rule of law. We are following the order and will not take enforcement action against protected parties inconsistent with that ruling. We are working diligently on clear guidance. Getting it RIGHT matters more than getting it out fast.
That means carefully navigating federal and state laws so that manufacturers, FFLs, and law-abiding gun owners aren’t left with legal problems - today or under a future administration.
