Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. It’s what helps us build the muscle memory to make those “janky” a-ring shots.
In a situation where I need to be fast and pull off that miracle shot at “X” number of yards in “.X” number of seconds, I could probably do it, because I have practiced the slow is smooth, smooth is fast method.
I love how “everyone’s heard that dumb shiat right?”
I guess “janky” is smooth now. People with Parkinson’s will be elated.
Is it janky if you are hitting the A zone? and .9 seconds with all in the A zone? That is the goal of training to be smooth, starting out slow and pushing your speed to your limits with no misses and who knows, .25 of a second. It can be done. That is why we train and that is why we practice.
For what it’s worth. I was a new guy on a machine at a factory, struggling to get it right, when my mentor (Clyde) told me to just get your system down, and the speed will come.
I should have mentioned in my last post, that it works, in whatever you do!
