Silly Alcohol Laws

I am 64 have grey in my beard and on my head I buy beer only on occasion, but the last time I purchased one bottle I was carded. I asked why but was not given a definitive answer.

These days you would be lucky to ask that same person carding you how many are in a dozen and get the same answer

I show them my Firearms Permit. It freaks some of them out but it IS a state issued ID

It’s Utah, there’s people also standing in line to try and close anyplace that sells booze so they have to protect themselves.

People from the state would pose as
customers at stores that I worked at and take alcohol to cashiers that were obviously under age to try to trap them into ringing up the purchase. If they did get talked into it then the store would get fined, and the cashier would get disciplined if not fired.

I believe it’s required no matter how old you look. At least at grocery stores anyway.

Another Silly Utah Alcohol Law. You have to display one of these. That way children won’t get exposed to the stuff that goes on in bars.

This turned derogatory towards others based on their career really quickly

I am 79 grey hair and stash. I get carded at groc store and some bars (sports with 16 TV’s lol!).
Typically either the checker gets an older employee to handle the beverage then the checkout continues and /or the barkeep says we are on camera and we get fired if we are seen NOT carding. A nuisance but I never make a stink.

And that was the whole point of this was to talk about the stupidity of it all… what I have figured out was that the government does not want anyone to think or use common sense, that just want us to be fat, dumb, and subservient!

But what about “Common Sense Gun Control Laws”?

The only gun control I believe in is using the proper grip and stance!

Gun control is being able to hit what you shoot.

But is it the government that has that card requirement, or is it the choice of the private business?

It’s the Government, In the State monopoly of liquor stores anyways.

I wonder if they do the same at all these dope dispensaries all over the country.
