Have been looking into it (7.62) and is on my bucket list, trying to save up $$$.

Yeah, I was hoping to hear from someone who has one to see what they say before I buy. None of my buddies from the range has one yet, though I am usually the one leading the way in that category.

In my limited experience of them thar ‘Shooty thingy’s’ I’ve always witnessed the guy w/ the most rounds wins. My Opinion Only— Save the new fangled XM7 for the Special Op’s guy’s (and the Ranger Rick’s @ the Range)—For the Grunt in the Sh!t or Patriot Defenders the (6) mag’s in the Plate Carrier, then the (8-10) mags in the Ruck , moving off the ‘X’, checking6 and concentrated fields of fire you may live to tell yer Grand chil’ren what you did in da War Daddy!

.556 is just fine with me. As an old Sgt.Major (Plumbly/Vietnam) in a movie ‘We were Soldiers’ once said when asked: ‘‘Maybe you should get one of them NEW M-16’s instead of yer Pistol ‘ (.gov.45)—his reply was ‘By the time I may need one they’ll be plenty of them lying around’. He wasn’t kidding: 237 Killed, 258 Wounded , 4 missing (DEAD) (Note for clarity I wasn’t there I was 5 !)

That’s (1) FIGHT!. I never had the time to go hunting around for specialty rounds. I picked a dearly departed soul stripped him clean and got back in the game. (when not available? I picked up a dead Moog’s AK—they always had spare mags in their Jeans! (That taught me a valuable lesson right there!)

I’m NOT knocking the SIG, when EVERYBODY has them (including the enemy) what I said above still stands—-Strip the dead—keep living.

Mi dos centavos!

Not trying to troll, but a couple of questions:

  1. Compared to an AR-10, what does this have other than the short stroke piston?
  2. Are you planning to wait for the 277 Sig Fury release or buying the currently available 7.62?
  3. I didn’t see on the link, is the 7.62 rated for the higher pressure 308 ammo, or is it limited to 7.62x51 only?

You can get the 308 version right now. I additionally am looking forward to the 277. It is the reason I am looking into this gun now and want to know how it handles. If there exist any issues or it is less effective than something cheaper. Available in 7.62x51 and 6.5 Creedmoor, coming soon in 277 SIG FURY. What I have read so far online.

As a side note, I have never known you to be a troll, @Gary_H. I am sure you are aware of the subhumans who just show up to troll me relentlessly. Thank you for the questions. I hope I have answered them; I’m just looking for input from someone that might have one.
