A person commits the crime of animal abuse in the second degree if, except as [otherwise authorized by law] necessary to defend against the threat of immediate harm to oneself, to other humans, or to other animals, the person intentionally, knowingly or recklessly causes physical injury to an animal.
It is amusing that they claim to not protect insects under this law, but the striking of the subpart about the control of vermin and pests, would make the killing of insects (legally defined as a pest) illegal. Also the definition of pest includes all animals, invasive plants, fungi, bacteria, algae, mosses, etc. This would destroy all farming in the state. So there will be no eggs, meat nor any food in Oregon, except what can be shipped in.
Whereas, Oregon state law already recognizes that animals are sentient beings capable of experiencing pain, stress, and fear.
I believe insects can experience pain and stress, too, as can plants. Why do they not care about those, too? Why do they not wish to protect all life from pain and stress? They are hypocrites, believing animals are more important than any other life.

I think they have tried this previously, with the vote by mail and thousands of illegals being registered to vote they cheat! There are 34 or 36 counties 27 are red , if the feds GOP fails to pass the SAVE act this will be coming to your state soon!
My experience a worker at my company was reading the voters pamphlet, I asked him about it as he was not a direct hire but from a temp agency ( illegal?),
I told him to check with the sheriff because if caught voting and not being a citizen he would get deported, he later thanked me and said they sent me the ballot
Last year oregon stated 300 were registered later it was 1500 the truth??? Who knows we need the SAVE act put into law!
