Propose Firearm Laws

So, Elon/Vivek got me thinking (I’ve been in the waste reduction business for decades).

Leaving 2A intact…what 25 or less firearms laws would you want on the books to replace the currently >20,000 laws which aren’t/can’t be followed or enforced…or clearly maintained. Please add what might be federal and what might be variable by state. If at all possible, use bullet points instead of paragraphs folks won’t likely read or which make them again…complicated.

In no order and doing a quick brain drain to get us going:

  • No way to revoke, undo, alter 2A but with the option to write in today’s language clarifying statements so that there is no ambiguity to it’s meaning (not as a legal part of 2A). Words like milita aren’t generally understood or agreed upon today, but the goal is to have every citizen understand 2A.
  • No dark tinted windows in the car. Some of these southern states are nearly black!
  • New reports including firearm usage must include firearm details, ammo details/conts in all news and government reports. They must all include sex and race so that we have accessible facts for all to see.
  • Add basic firearms training to high school to avoid getting wrapped around the axle about requiring safety knowledge or not for new firearm owners
  • Intentional hard to police, fire, medical with firearm results in death penalty within 60 days. Same for firearm users in sexual crimes.
  • Illegals have no right to firearms at all and if they found with them are immediately deported along with their families
  • No bio firearms safeties in public use until they are 100% functional-zero failures
  • I’m not sure that I want any state laws to vary.

You guys are much more knowledgeable than I am on current laws, so we’re counting on you.

We only need one: Don’t kill anyone who doesn’t need killing. Beyond that they should only be on a “value added” basis.

I’ve always been in favor of PSA ads on television pertaining to firearm safety, security and maintenance.
How do they say “The more you know”?
As a kid I can’t remember how many times a day I saw Smokey the Bear commercials. I lived in Brooklyn, there are NO trees in Brooklyn!

I’m not much on writing new or deleting old/outdated/incorrect laws…I will leave that up to our dully elected officials (a dangerous prospect, I know). I would be more to press the issue of not restricting law-abiding gun owners other than what Larry stated above:

Outside of that, carry on.

I would also press the issue of the criminals having more and better rights than the law-abiding citizens. They are criminals. They gave up their rights when they chose to commit crime.

EVER!!!

I would go one step further and say don’t shoot anyone that doesn’t need to be shot.

C’mon guys…those aren’t realistic, just like the 22k aren’t.

Well firearms don’t obey laws. The best I can do is do to other as you would have done to you.

There are two many scenarios where one cannot use a gun and only one where one can. To defend from an imminent threat.

.All that pass a background check, are not a prohibited person, and purchase a firearm must take firearm safety classes, including joining the United States Conceal Carry Association (USCCA).
