SGAmmo has some good 300BO ammo available for ~$1.00-$1.50/round (crazy but this is a bargain nowadays) right now. Limit 4 or 5 boxes. Magtech, S&B, Hornady, and Winchester.

Brownells has Hornady 110gr V-Max for 300 Blackout in stock right now. This is a fragmenting 300BO round, great for HD and hunting. One of the top tier IMO along with Barnes TAC-TX (not available anywhere right now AFAIK).
$240 for 200 round case, ($1.20/cpr)

It has been a bit now but I was able to buy them from Cabela’s online a few weeks ago at the normal pricing. I have been watching and haven’t seen any lately.
I am not sure if they are getting in small amounts and no longer allowing online sales or not. I have seen their site advertising in stock 9mm but only in limited quantities in the store.
I have also backordered some 9mm from Optics Planet at reaonable prices. I have had them on order since 9/14 and they are hoping to ship the week of Nov 11th.

I’ll have to checkout Cabela’s. If I’m super lucky and find them in a store, then they are definitely inexpensive but typically limited to two boxes or something. I actually bought some FMJ’s a couple weeks ago for $16 / box which was amazing. JHP’s are like a unicorn these days, left to Gunbroker and other sites.

I would check out Optics Planet too. They at least let you back order if they think they can get and the pricing is still reasonable.

I lost faith in OpticsPlanet. I backordered in the summer (July maybe?) with 8-12weeks expected. It got pushed back once, then one of the items got cancelled by OpticsPlanet, then it got pushed back to early Nov delivery, then it got pushed back to Feb 2021… I cancelled at that point.
I prefer to buy from the retailers that I know have stock, even if its a bit more expensive. If you check regularly, you can find some deals on GunBroker. And ammoseek alerts (altho lots of false positives)

Agree need to check around. OP is saying they have Winchester Silver tip in stock but 25 a box so over a dollar a round.
Honestly I am treating what I have like gold. Haven’t been to the range in about a month now. 
I have been focusing on practicing my draw and target acquisition. Considering getting one of the laser training setups.

I have drastically reduced my range trips since COVID hit and ammo prices went sky-high. I have drastically increased dry-fire (wasn’t hard i was starting from near zero 
).
I picked up a MantisX, that has helped tremendously with my draw from concealment, and helped explain “what” i did when I know I threw a shot. I also picked up a laser bullet and use it with a cheap Android app (G-Sight) to practice my aim. Someday I’ll throw more money at the “real” laser targets, but for now this works well. It is money I would have spent on ammo by now, and long term will help me save money.

Bought Speer LE Gold Dot 9mm (+P) 124gr JHP Hollow Point Duty Ammo from gunbroker.com. Bid and lost several times. Finally bought 200 rounds Duty but had to wait a day for offer to get accepted. Paid $200 for 200 with $15 shipping. Received two weeks after won bid. Now looks at site selling at 1.30 per round…geez.

Thanks for the feedback on Mantis and G sight. Those are really what I have been looking at.
I think I need more fmj at this point since I only have a couple of boxes where I have a decent amount of various jhp.
And like you said, the cost of both the G sight and Mantis would be money saving in the long run.

I ordered a MantisX when the cost of their system became less what it would cost to purchase 500 rounds. I’ve been interested in it for a couple of years, but figured now was the time to purchase one to aid in dry fire practice. Sadly, it was supposed to be here today, but the ailing USPS has it delayed yet again. I don’t remember from when I checked out but it would be worth it to pay a little extra for UPS or FedEx shipping in my opinion. It has been over two weeks since the label was created at MantisX.
