I just saw a news story here on TV of a DRT home invader and thought of our FAFO thread. This is a other story for that thread.

I don’t quite understand how it qualifies as a homicide

Allen’s death is Saginaw County’s 15th homicide

It is, technically, a homicide as the definition thereof is simply “the killing of a person by another regardless of circumstance, intention, or legality.”

Tack on the ‘NEGATIVE CONOTATION’ of Homicide to somebody given the GREEN LIGHT to take out a BG by their Commander makes me want to run out and join SWAT!
The World is ducked up.

Well…the legal definition is what it is. There are several classes of homicide. Criminal, which include murder and manslaughter. Negligent, justifiable, vehicular, and state sanctioned homocides. I don’t think there is a negative connotation to the word. It just describes that someone died by the action of someone else.

Technically, this part of the definition renders homicide an incorrect conclusion.

Potentially, yes. I did not see a final ruling on cause of death. So if it was self inflicted, then it was not a homicide.
