I carry some every where I go, I’ve got small ones I can and do put in my pocket and a big can at my front door and a big one in my truck. You can use it to disable an attacker or “ would be attacker “ or if it’s a kinda hidden place let him have a face full of the stuff and then lay the shoe leather to him while he’s on one knee at least choking and slobbering out his nose and mouth . Good stuff.

Myself I have both but I think most of it is pepper spray simply because I see on the can so n so “ capsation”, but I’ve never used it yet because haven’t needed to yet.

Nothing like trying it on yourself to see if it really works. 
Says the guy who was sprayed twice and tazed thrice. 
I will have to admit every time sucked… If I had to choose, I would rather be tazed. 
P.S. I was a Corrections Officer for 16 years.

This charming young fella wanted some sauce and got a lot…
But he forgot to bring the chips…
I will caution folks about the use of pepper spray guns.
The stream of sauce flying out of the pepper spray gun is going approx. 400 miles per hour.
When the deputy used his on this teenager, it ripped the teen’s eye open and destroyed his vision. He’s damaged for life.
The officer was fired, tried for aggravated felony assault, convicted, placed on five years probation, p/o certificate yanked, career over.
For us, it’ll be lawsuit, a jail or prison sentence, probation, felony on the record probably for life.
Be careful out there. Keep your wits about you and try to do the right thing.
My God look at that pepper spray gun, it looks like. MAT 49 or something , I don’t have anything like that , my small ones that I have everywhere are about the size of a , or bigger than a BIC lighter and I have a couple that are the size of a can of butane that you fill small things up with or the smallest can of spray paint you can think of. But that kid was a real trouble maker for sure but that sprayer he used at maybe one yard is for riots it looked like. I think it was the night two fools met myself, one big mess aye?
Agreed. Silly thing to do. Cop wasn’t thinking --or-- he knew it was gonna hurt – but hever expected anything like that to happen! Oops!
The teen was obviously a little thug, wanna-be gangsta. Meantime the cop was obviously a hardass, just dying to thump and punish this kid, as most cops do have a hard-on for roughing up teens and teaching them lessons. The cop couldn’t control his emotions nor himself and it cost them both. The two worlds collided. Kinda like Derek Chauvin and George Floyd. On that day, God pointed his finger at the two and said, “Today ye two bad guys and fools who will not be good, will not follow my commandments shall wipe each other from the face of the earth!” And so they did. Dumbass Floyd went to the morgue. Dumbass Chauvin went to an 8 x12. The End

I would just stick with the little cans of mace or the big spray or foam can. The guns are spendy and could get yo’ azz in a lotta trouble.
Apparently at close range in both the videos it forces your eye lids back and forces that spray up under and inside of your eyes and causes permanent damage. And I’d bet they were told in training for those things to not use the ones made for a riot at close ranges. Those things should have a selector switch on them to govern how much range you could set it at or something
In this particular case, the shot ripped the skin around kid’s eye wide open. He was stitched w/ eleven stitches. Plus the super hot, four million Scoville Heat Unit pepper inside that gun got into the internal parts of the eye and ruined the eyeball. He can still see with the eye, but it is greatly diminished, blurry and probably will be for life.
The kid did get charged with his crimes and will have to pay for them. But he’s also going to get paid – alot!! when he wins his lawsuit. And he will.
Man what a big ship ( wink wink ) sandwich and they are both getting the “ bad “ end of the stick. And like you said a wad of cash will make things better
