Luckily this man is being brought to justice, unfortunately many like him escape justice. I just recently learned that my daughters youth pastor who was quietly let go 10 years ago, was removed from his duties at that time for impregnating a child. I learned about this as I was having dinner with my daughter and her friend, who was her age but had a 10 year old child with her. I was shocked that the man who impregnated her, was paying child support but was never charged with a crime. According to the girl, her parents signed an agreement with the Church to insure her education and the education of her child. She dropped out of High School so the Church saved a ton of money. Anyways I told her that under Oregon law she could still report him, however she was worried about losing the $300 a month of child support.
Pedophiles are just about the lowest form of scum to crawl on this earth. The penalty for this crime should be a painful, prolonged and public death.
I don’t disagree with you in the least however we are dealing with individuals who are being protected by establishments who do not wish to have negative impacts upon their ability to generate revenue. If my daughter would have been impregnated by this man, she would have had an abortion because raising a child of rape would be a constant reminder on my lack as a parent to protect my child. Furthermore, the pedo would no longer be walking on this earth. I have zero respect for the parents of the young woman who was raped, because they took money from the church to hold their tongues.
