Crime was committed in 80’s
and Robert Morris met Donald Trump in 2016.
Nothing to be excited about.

You don’t know everything about me
and I’ve been oribiting this Community with you since February 2021 :joy:

Birds of a feather. I can tell who you are by who you associate with. Do you want to know how many pedophiles I personally know? It’s zero because I am not a kiddy diddler. Trump on the other hand has been surrounded by kiddy diddlers his whole life.

Not exactly the truth
it usually applies to animals, teenagers and weak adult’s personality.

I’m not going to judge Trump. He can be surrounded by dozens weirdos, but I don’t think it will make him more weird.

You do you Beau, you have made it this long on your own path and I am sure you can justify a lot of kiddy diddling if it’s your kiddy diddler in the White House. But I am more of a woodchipper type of guy and I don’t look away when children are being raped.

OK.. Justice has been served.

The victim, now an adult, Cindy Clemishire, addressed the impact of today’s plea.

“Today justice has finally been served, and the man who manipulated, groomed and abused me as a 12-year-old innocent girl is finally going to be behind bars,” she said. “My hope is that many victims hear my story, and it can help lift their shame and allow them to speak up. I hope that laws continue to change and new ones are written so children and victims’ rights are better protected. I hope that people understand the only way to stop child sexual abuse is to speak up when it happens or is suspected.”

“Today is a new beginning for me, my family and friends who have been by my side through this horrendous journey,” Clemishire said. “I leave this courtroom today not as a victim, but a survivor.”

But what President Trump has to do with it?

I usually ignore this kind of stuff, ‘cuz I don’t have the time or energy to deal with this kind of thing anymore.

But, I do respect you and I respect a lot of things you say–even when we disagree. But from where I’m sitting this feels mighty judgmental.

When it comes to criminal activity, immoral behavior or child abuse and pedophilia I am a firm believer that like minded people associate together. But it’s not always bad behavior that you can tell about a person by those they associate with. If a person hangs out with people who got to church every Sunday, that person probably goes to Church every Sunday. If all their friends are avid sports fans, then they too are probably avid sports fans. If all their friends enjoy hunting and fishing then they too also probably enjoy hunting and fishing.

When my kids were growing up, I instilled in them that who they associate with is who they will become. If they want to be successful they need to associate with successful people. If they spend all their time with people who do not put an emphasis on their education or participate in criminal behavior, that is what they will become.

And there is some truth to what you say. And you advised your kids’ well.

I had a friend. He ended up doing something more than creepy. I still think he could be on a sex-offender registry somewhere if the investigators would have played it differently. There’s a ton of context and I still have to associate with him at times. But I certainly don’t want lumped in with him.

I am not defending nor attacking Trump. I think there’s enough wickedness in politics that they are almost all dirty–at least to some extent.

Your post made me think. I am grateful for that even if we don’t see it exactly the same.

Usually when I use the saying I say “friends” over “associates”. However as adults we have friends and associates, now some of our associates we have no choice, work environment, family, what not. Those are not the people I am talking about in Trump’s instance. These are individuals who he has intentionally brought into his sphere, people he intentionally spent a lot of time with.

Exactly!!! Not everyone here is religious, but it immediately reminded me of the Pharisees pointing the finger at Jesus for associating with tax collectors, prostitutes, and other sinners. They kinda missed the mark and Zed is missing the mark here.

Huge difference between Jesus ministering to sinners and Trump being ministered by a Pedophile. Furthermore Jesus was free of sin and was not influenced by those he was ministering.

Soooooo
you’re comparing yourself to Trump? Donald J Trump, multi-billionaire, known worldwide, with millions of people wanting to attend his parties and weasel their way into his inner circle, or inflate their egos by dining or staying at his luxury resorts & golf courses, etc., etc., etc
Epstein started going to Mar-A-Lago because that’s where all the wealthy elites would go and he wanted to be there too. But you’d want to ignore the part about Trump cutting ties with Epstein a long time ago and kicking him out of Mar-A-Lago once he got to know what Epstein really was.

Actions are what matter. Trump cut ties with Epstein a long time ago and Trump’s DOJ finally got Epstein locked up.

Actions are what matter. You want to cherry pick facts and ignore other facts so you can criticize someone you don’t like. It’s our actions that define us.

Yes, that’s the point. The Pharisees pointed their fingers while ignoring the facts. The Pharisees had a superficial view of Jesus. The Pharisees judged Jesus based on the people around Him while ignoring the actions of Jesus: bringing sinners to repentance and converting their lives. The whole concept of judging people based solely on a visual of who’s around them instead of the things they do daily is Pharisaical.

Are you saying Trump is Jesus? Or anything like Jesus?

Participation with those with flawed logic that cannot reason gives them the air they breathe.

No. Where did I make that comparison? I simply compared you to the Pharisees. I identified your actions of judging people solely on who might be in a photo op with them as Pharisaical. Your entire premise is taken from the first chapter of, “How to be a Pharisee in 10 Easy Steps.”

As always making comments with no proof don’t like the man so the rumors must be true.

These are not just people he was accidentally found in photos with. And when you see that he constantly surrounds himself with unsavory individuals, what do you expect one to think about who he is? This is nothing like Jesus and the Pharisees. And Jesus called out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees when he called them White Washed Tombs, they look pristine on the outside but the inside they are dark and full of decay. Also the Bible is quite clear on what happens when you surround yourself with bad people:

Proverbs 13:20 - “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: But a companion of fools shall be destroyed”.

But photos of people together is about the extent of your analysis of the depth of Trump’s relationships with people. You seem to want to lump acquaintances, business associates, actual friendships, and any other kind of relationship all into the same bucket in order to justify your conclusion.

You also seem to be ignoring the fact that Trump has been the most well known & public billionaire in the US for decades, and hundreds of thousands of people have flocked to him, wanting to be in his social circles; not the other way around. Epstein started going to Mar-A-Lago to be seen. And as time went by, and Trump started getting to know the real Epstein, he asked him to never come back.

Amen! And that’s not what I’m disputing. What I’m disputing is your liberal interpretation of “walketh with” and “companion of”. You’re looking at relationships very superficially; putting a spotlight on what suits you while ignoring everything else.
