One of my favorites

When I first entered law enforcement, the climate was much like what we see today. Marked by public distrust, accusations of police brutality, civil unrest, and even targeted attacks against officers. These acts were not based on individual actions, but rather on the uniform we wore. I often reflect on the many experiences that shaped my career, the challenges I faced, the victims and witnesses I supported, and even the suspects I encountered. Through it all, I’ve found that Paul Harvey’s piece “Policeman” captures the essence of the profession with remarkable depth and brevity. If you haven’t heard it before, it’s well worth listening to.
