Things you wont see in the news

I came across this video, and it reminded me of the many positive experiences and meaningful contributions I made during my law enforcement career, moments the public often doesn’t hear about due to prevailing negative narratives. When attention is focused solely on the negative, it can overshadow the countless acts of service and compassion that occur every day, often unseen. I’m grateful that this video highlights some of those positive aspects and that it’s reaching a wide audience.

Yes, As Robert said ‘THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE BROTHER’ and the Vid. Too often we are inundated with the negative, the Nasty, the wretched news was polluted and corrupted with ‘IF IT BLEEDS IT READS’

That was Beautiful.

I don’t get to see final outcomes in my work per se. Such a fast paced work world we live in. One memorable case I recall seeing a client caught in a viscious circle, over and over, but then saw her looking completely different, looking well one day.

She was initially down and out, I remember seeing her mother who was heart broken at first. But this time, I could barely recognize the client. I asked her, how she was doing and she said great.

She said that the counseling she got in - helped her to understand why she was drinking, and eventually helped her to stop, she got a new job at a cafe inside an airport, and she even got a new boyfriend, she said with a smile.

Perhaps not so major things to us, we take for granted, but I sensed it meant the world to her.

I think cops get a bad rap a lot. I do think the vast majority of them are good guys doing it right for the right reasons.

We need to keep @Matthew419’s thread going with good officer stories!

Watched the video. Hmm, it sure is dusty in here.

I keep a strip of blue tape on my truck’s back window to show LEO support, and have for years.

Thank you, I greatly appreciate it. It makes me think of that song “Everybody needs somebody, sometimes.”

First – thanks for your service! Secondly, it is great to see examples like this one of what LEO’s do somewhere day after day in this era of “defund the police.” You and others continue to “serve and protect” in an environment that more often than not offers no thanks.

Few things evoke a strong emotional response from me; one is the loss of an innocent life that could have been easily prevented, and the other is witnessing such a tragedy being overshadowed by advertisements or commentary promoting political ideology, particularly when it detracts from the focus on the loss itself.

Rest easy Lauren, your brothers and sisters will take it from here.

As my namesake once said (Don Paul Jones!)
‘I have not yet begun to spew!’ Don’t like it keep scrolling!

I’m not sure about you, but I don’t think leftists ideaologies or their ads should be playing on an article about someones end of watch.
