New pistol brace rule announced

Don’t comply,stand for your rights.

I would rather die on my feet standing up for my rights and yours than live on my knees and be subjugated. I took an oath to do that. I may not work in that field anymore because im disabled now, but I was never relieved of that oath. #dontcomply

I’m very lucky in that regard. If I want something, she says go get it. If she wants something, I say go get it. Of course there a mutual understanding that each of us can’t break the budget. That’s what savings accounts are for.

I’m glad to hear that you have a good relationship like that. I came up with a neat little trick if any of you guys on here carry a rifle bag everywhere you go like I do and you want to go buy a new rifle, leave with the rifle bag empty or take a lightweight rifle if you have a double gun case. Then go directly to the gun store and buy it and come home like normal. Stick it in the back of your vault for a couple weeks then take it out and sight it in like you’re just making a trip to the range.

Me too, my brother is married to a physco-bitch from hell.

My wife and I operate that way as well.
As long as we don’t break the budget, few questions if any asked.
Has worked out well for many many years.

I saw that someone mentioned this above but definitely check out the video that Jared from Guns & Gadgets did. He always does a great job of keeping you in the loop with what is going on and what to expect with all things Second Amendment related. He also did another video going through this “ruling” in its entirety as well. I highly recommend subscribing to his channel.

She has her checking/savings as do I. But for just in case each is shared. I pay utilities, she buys food and keeps up her own car. I keep up my truck. Took some time for us to figure out all the details but we like how it has turned out.

Welcome to the Community @Chemkill_Warfair. We look forward to your sharing to help make all of us better at being responsibly armed Americans.

To your post: You are spot on with the purpose for the brace, however, as you know a massive gulf has been created between its intended purpose and the established norm. Like a sucking chest wound, it may be very difficult to close. Which would probably bring about more laws now since the integrity of intent has not been maintained. One could argue the perversion of intended purpose while another could argue the discrimination of current practice, or one could argue the need for the device while another would argue the perceived right due to its wide distribution and established norm. It’s a dumpster fire. However, I saw it coming because the regulations were too loosely written, and they were not enforced; and there’s enough blame to go around. Instead of it being marketed as a Disability Brace, it became just “with Brace.” But it took on the characteristic of a butt stock. So, now the door is being closed on it, or it is becoming regulated, it seems like a gun grab, but as I said, it’s a self-inflicted dumpster fire. I’m sure others may feel differently, but that’s JMHO based on what I see and what I know is being practiced. Instead of it being needs based, it has largely been sold for “cool points.” Now, the Americans with Disabilities is out of a device that was intended to help them stabilize the gun.

I can tell you this…it’s all about the money, but I’m guarantelling ya, the disabled gunowner didn’t get any of it.

Thank you for welcoming me here. Me, I look at it like this if they catch somebody using it for other than its intended purpose then go ahead and charge them. But don’t regulate something the way they are doing that was made for disabled people to use it a certain way legally. It’s basically like writing someone a speeding ticket because they own a sports car that’s capable of doing 200 mph. Thank God they’re not doing that or I’d be in a lot of trouble lol. It’s not even about the money I could register anything I want as an SBR I can buy a machine gun I used to have an actual M16a1. It’s the principle of the matter, we are innocent until proven guilty. If we don’t stand up to this now they will just keep pushing further and trying to lock us up for something someone might do not something someone did and they can prove it. Jmho

It is ridiculous that we have this whole SBR vs braced pistol debate in the first place. Why exactly are they so much more dangerous than rifles or pistols that the need to be taxed and regulated separately? Concealability? How many criminals outside of Hollywood gangster movies actually commit crimes with concealed SBRs or braced pistols? I doubt it’s anywhere close to 0.001%. Probably not even close to 0.00001%. And how does this rule change stop criminals from using them since criminals, by definition, don’t follow the laws?

I wonder if the lawsuits against this ATF rule change could be written in such a way to allow SCOTUS to rightfully decide that not only is the ruling unconstitutional but so is the original NFA ban on short barrel rifles and shotguns? It would be some divine Justice if this ruling led to the overturning of the NFA.

Don’t regulate it at all, all these unconstitutional laws and regulations do not do anything to stop the bad guys, just infringe on our right.

I agree. Honestly a shorter barrel has less velocity. Alright then I’ll go back to carrying my M4 bag and my Colt Le6920 in the trunk. It has longer range and is more lethal than an MP5 9mm with a brace. Also, I went and bought that LCP MAX tonight.

Congrats on the LCP Max! I found it noticeably easier to shoot rapidly than the LCP1 or 2 thanks to the better sights and ever so slightly larger and better rounded grip. It’s still a little snappy due to its very light weight but controllable once you get used to it.

Nice sights and ten rounds in a small package :sunglasses:

I think its snappy because its undersprung. Im going to buy an outer spring from Galloway precision to bring it up to 13lbs. My TCP has an outer and inner spring and it isnt snappy at all.

Same requirement as for the Bump Stock.
