I been thinking of getting Tritium Night Sights just in case something goes down at night.
But if my gun is always in the Hoster I read that it’s not going to glow! Is that true?

Not true. Tritium is self-illuminating. Some glowing sights need ‘charging’ by external light sources and won’t glow if left in the holster.

I have tritium sights on all of my semiautos. Period.
my 2 cents:
Get a Tritium with bright circle around front one. This way you have Night Sights “working” 24hr for you.

I am a true believer in tritium night sights.
All my previous and current SD guns have had a green tritium sight with a bright orange ring on the front. I prefer dimmer amber tritium on the rear site with no daylight visible dots, but also have plain black sites and a green tritium rear that I have dimmed with black marker so the front sight catches my eye quicker.

I like tritium. They are not a necessity. I would argue they can help with picking up the front sights quickly. If your stock sights stink, may as well get tritium.
I do like the tritium/ fiber optic options. They provide visible sights in light dark and everywhere in between.
They are not necessary though. They don’t help you see your target, and chances are if you can’t see your sights in front of you, you probably can’t identity your target and you shouldn’t be aiming a gun at them if you can’t identify them.
They’re cool though. My carry guns have them.
That’s why bright circle comes to play.

I’m suing the same setup but with yellow front. My eyes pick it up fast. Very nice transition between bright color and green tritium when you lose the light around you.

Challenge accepted. 
Duct tape worked fine.
Now I can throw it accurately during the night at 100 yards. 
Trijicon warrants theirs for 12

They should call them “low light sights” not “night sights”.
