I have TWO ULTIMATE goals that I’ve pursued for many years. The FIRST is to STANDARDIZE SHEATH CONSTRUCTION for fixed-blade knives - and other cutting tools - throughout the ENTIRE industry. This was inspired by an incident that I witnessed in a sporting-goods store many years ago. The SECOND is to urge more widespread use of cryogenic-quenching for knife blades. “Cryo-quenching” has proven beneficial to ANY steel - EVEN CPM “super-steels” like “Magnacut”. Although expensive and time-consuming, the process IMPROVES its structure, properties and performance, while relieving stresses. This should also be used MORE in rifle and shotgun barrels - I don’t know if it benefits handguns. BENELLI has offered this for many years as a feature in their rifles and shotguns. FYI
