@BeanCounter You know I love Chicago but I never heard that one before. Maybe an early one?
It was a 1980 single that didn’t chart from the unpopular Chicago XIV. I wish they would play it live.
@Wanda3 Get your tissues ready
50 year anniversary of Souvenirs

One of my favorite songs, reminds me every time of Ecclesiastes. Unfortunately the song was used in a movie that ruined it for a lot of people, but it’s still great.
@William591 You got me! Thank you so much for that. I watched the whole thing. It’s so sweet to hear Professor of Rock’s tributes to Dan and his immense admiration for him. As far as Souvenirs…I can sing every song word for word. Shocking, I know. But true.
The song Souvenirs itself is so poetically written.
“And here is the key to a house far away
Where I used to live as a child
They tore down the building when I moved away
And left the key unreconciled…”
The Long Way…boo hoo.
Part of the Plan…had great meaning way back when and is still true. I could go on and on.
So here ya go… Again, this was a really good day to hear from you and DF. Worth every tissue.
@Karacal I love his voice. I just started listening to his music recently. Moody stuff but with a lot of depth. Does he write his own songs?
I am not sure, I just ran across this song
@Karacal I found him randomly on Youtube maybe a week ago. And was impressed with his voice. I get the vibe he’s been through a lot. A lot. Kind of combines blues and soul music. Raspy voice that carries his whole heart on it.
One of my favorite Swedish musician covering another favorite Swedish Band acoustically, Jose Gonzales covering The Knife “Heart Beats”.
Wouldn’t normally listen long enough to get to the words. Not my musical style/taste. But your Ecclesiastes reference got me. I see the connection.
