I also don’t like that many light compatible holsters necessarily (depending on make of pistol and model of light, etc) leave openings big enough for a finger or something else to pull the trigger of the gun while in the holster. That is not something I am personally comfortable with. SPeaking of holsters, there is also the downside that finding a compatible holster at all is much more difficult when you have an attached light

I agree, plus I’ve heard these holsters primarily work with friction. To be, the main benefit to Kydex is that “click” and you know your boom stick is safely locked in.

I like a light on HD gun. At the very least it’s a back up light. I have multiple lights for a bump in the night because I am familiar with “Murphy’s Law” .

I use and carry both. I will not have a life saving pistol, rifle or shotgun without one. If you train and i mean really train with both and understand them you wont ever carry without a weapon mounted light again.
