Where you are most at risk when home ? I believe the Bathroom is the one place you are at risk and the environment is harmful to firearms. My solution 38cal revolver in a “zip lock”. Any one have a better staging point??
depends on how your bathroom is set up on what and how you are prepared, my only issue is small room one way in or out.
I keep my semi-auto under a kitchen towel on the sink when I’m in the shower, we have a small bathroom and a loud Dog.
I’ve actually thought about this exact subject. For me, my back bathroom is like a closet in the bedroom, 2 door way, bathroom door and bedroom door, are a death funnel. I just make sure to stay alert, listen to what’s going on around me. But yea, sitting on the head with the drawers around ones ankles is a pretty venerable place.
A yapper is all you need to give you precious seconds to react.
When i see stuff like this a few things come to mind …
Frist… Where the do you live… Maybe it is time to move.
Second … Who did you piss off or Are you a drug dealer…
Thirdly … By the time you unwrap your gun point it to shoot …You will be found dead …
Life is about making choices hopefully smart ones … Put in an alarm or buy a dog …
If this doesn’t satisfy your desire for blood lust … Put a knife in your shower … Think this through you are not going to hear someone in your house , Over the water or your amorous activities . By the time you hear them. They will be in the room with you. Hopefully you have the training and understand the 21 foot rule …
It is a joke.
Oh I got that he/she or the 76 other genders was making a joke … But someone actually did that, thus the picture … Now whether they did it as a joke is suspect …
I think what you need is a German Shepherd. I have two of them. Not only am I never alone, but I am protected when I am in the bathroom. Whether I like it or not.
Bathroom vanity with a magnetic strip to hold it by the slide is the way I would go, if I didn’t have pack mates.
Downtown, where drug dealers and homeless addicts run uncontroled. The police show up AFTER the little bastards get in. I live in a building with security guards at every door but scum still get’s in. I guess the question is like this "Are you 100% safe, 90% Save, 50% safe maybe 30%…? What level of risk are you willing to bet the live of you and yours on. Me, I choose to be ready all of the time.
Sorry you took that so seriously.
But I did decide to take your advice, installed an alarm❗️
I live in a middle class neighborhood!
Which means my state is inundated with illegal vermin!
Thats original. The old doorbell trick.
We have something in common
I grew up in a middle class family.
You need to update that door bell to a Ring so you can set it off remotely … Just a thought , You know incase they are stealing your amazon package . Or that one neighbor in which case you plant the amazon package in his hands …
I grew up in a middle class family. BeanCounterHarris
Just Kidding.
One exception? “The Bates Motel”.
I actually live Alone in a very nice area, but there are a lot of retirees. That means we have numerous door knockers selling everything. But that does not mean I am not prepared for anything, Boy Scout, USMC and my grandmother taught me , never get caught “With my pants down”. Even at 73 I still remember those lessons. My post was to get people to be aware and insure their safety. I still see people do foolish things, like keeping their firearm next to a Glass front door. So any area can become unsafe , so a little thought can increase peace of mind.
Hey this has been fun nice post … Myself i grew up on a farm. Back in the days when we never locked the door . Keys were in all the vehicles … I worked hard, studied and now live in an upper middle class neighborhood … Miss the farm every so often, Until i remember hauling a thousand bales a day everyday and blowing green snot rockets out my nose … LOL don’t get me wrong i still love playing with the tittes .
