You can’t have a gun because you freak out at a weird looking mole. You cannot have a gun because you had a scare when your heart one time skipped a beat and your cardiologist said you’re okay.

Also imagine being the guy that would be prohibited from buying a firearm because of sexual problems. Can’t shoot your own load? Can’t shoot a gun.

They are literally trying everything to stop the 2A at this point. Would they dare put prescriptions on this list that the trans community uses? They think body dysmorphia is a reason what about gender dysphoria?

Specific controlled substances or narcotics, except when administered by or under the direction of a person licensed by the state to dispense, prescribe, or administer controlled substances, are not allowed. However, CCW license conditions indicate you cannot, “Be under the influence of any medication or drug, whether prescribed or not”.

So I see that and have to wonder seriously, does CA let you carry concealed and have a CCW license if you drink coffee? What if you take ibuprofen?

What are the standards for “under the influence” and who makes that determination?

I have no idea. Ask the CA politicians who passed it or ask an attorney I guess?

It’s (though I am not a lawyer, at all) not uncommon IME for statutes to be passed that don’t define the words they use so it’s a big “who knows”

Attorneys must love that. There’s a lot of money to be made in non-stop lawsuits over vague statues.
