I agree %1000 only thing that kept me sane during FJB term were guns remembering a saying from my old SSGT from my army days. F.I.S.H.DO (F–k It Sh!t Happens Drive On) that an also my firm belief in we need to respect the office but, not the person or persons holding that office. an praying the old girl (America) could survive and still be the country I an many others Loved

you do you, its more disrespectful than anything else. I could care less what the gay community does. as long as it doesn’t effect me or kids.

A government recognizing & celebrating sexual orientation/sexuality, regardless of the type, is silly and unnecessary.

Don’t fall for it. It increases blood pressure!

Was always respectful towards all cultures until they decided to shove it down our throats, literally.
You can be as proud as you want, just not in my White House and surely not in my kids school. Keep that crap n the bedroom, where it belongs!
But here I am dignifying the comments. My bad!

Here is the problem with that picture Scott posted. It’s not so much about pride, or gay rights, or any of that, as much as it’s about the total disrespect for the US flag, and, by extension, the US, which FJB was famous for.

No flag of any group, or cause, or movement, or whatever should be placed above the US, and he did it on the White House! It wouldn’t matter if it was a religous, or school or state flag. That’s totally the wrong place, order and way to do it. You don’t take down the Untited States flag to fly a symbol flag of a single group of Americans, regardless of their cause. Ever. The pride people should have told FJB not to put their pennant above thr US flag.

In case anyone forgot, because clearly FJB did, here’s an excerpt from the US Flag Code:

The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed

That’s a good point and one I hadn’t considered before.

That said…

Why does the flag code only matter in this case? Are there not other violations of the flag code occuring daily?

And, yes, I realize this person isn’t the president and that does make a difference.

Yeah, the US flag is the one unifying symbol we all, as Americans, share. No group is above us. Don’t ever take down my (and yours) flag to put up a pennant from a subgroup of Americans, or anyone else, for that matter. No one group is above all Americans. And, to add insult to injury, it’s on the Peoples’ House! The White House belongs to all Americans, just like our flag.
