Maybe we should have a minimum maturity level to join this forum. Maybe that would weed out the sensitive little children who seem to be ruining it for the adults.

It’s not a matter of losing the sense of smell… it is really a case of who can surpass the previous efforts. However there is a distinct smell on subs. It’s a strange combination of hydraulic oil, amine (chemical that removes CO2), and 120 people. You don’t notice it until you return to port. Most people don’t like the smell, but my wife loved it because it meant I was home.
