Oh no. There is actually a special section of the UCMJ that specifically deals with commissioned officers disparaging elected officials.
UCMJ Article 88 addresses contempt toward officials by commissioned officers in the U.S. Armed Forces, prohibiting them from using contemptuous words against certain government officials, including the President and members of Congress. Violations can lead to severe penalties, including dismissal from service and confinement for up to one year.
Maybe this is a little harsh of me
but I’ll say it anyway. (Why stop now huh?)
The fact that ‘Words have meaning and Impact’
you speak ill of your Government that has Consequences.
IF you speak with the intent of doing real damage to said Government or
creating a disturbance (or worse) That’s TREASON
A member of the Military is not automatically a ‘DRONE’ with no feelings,
thoughts and Belief’s BUT as mentioned above there is a CODE OF CONDUCT
to be followed and to breech that code, break that OATH should be costly.
Be that Loss of Rank, Financial, ousted from the Military entirely or worse.
