Interesting seeing that the rear of the scopes I’ve looked at mounted on the Marlin 60 vary by about 4", from the rear of the trigger guard to 4" back from there. Looking forward to getting mine and goofing around with it.

Here’s what my daughter can do with mine with the 3-9x thats on it. Thats a 45 ACP case that she hit from 30 yards. The other one is a 45 ACP case that she damn near took out the primer at the same distance. She was 12 when she did these.

It was more a post to show that a 3-9x is perfectly viable on a rimfire.

Simmons scope came today. It feels…cheesy, but it will likely be adequate and outlive me. I’ll get it set up next time out!

After just 100+ rounds (of admittedly filthy .22LR ammo) the Marlin was jamming a lot. I read a few articles about how hard it was to clean and put it off. I shot 50 rounds, 10 at a time at my trip with the SAR9 the other day. It jammed 1 out of every 10, usually the 9th or 10th round.
I sucked it up and pulled it apart using this video. Super easy to clean! I might even do it every time I shoot it! How often do you need to clean your 60?
