MAFIA DEMOCRACY - Michael Franzese

This is a short read, but Franzese names names, and the depth of corruption he describes even shocked him. It’s no wonder that citizens have taken a cynical view of government - the sheer amounts of money that have been wasted, spent for influence-peddling, and disappeared down rabbit-holes is absolutely despicable, along with the endless grabbing for power at all levels. The tactics used in defiance of our laws really does rival those by the Mafia - I recommend this book for all of you who consider themselves critical thinkers, especially for the approaching midterms.
