It’s about time. Who would be more qualified than a man who has been trained in the military to handle maintenance and in discipline in the use a fire arm.
But he must have training also into civilian instruction. And discernment I have found this here in USCCA training. GOD Bless our Veterans
Excellent! It is, however, unfortunate that legislation is needed to protect their rights.
Thats why i wont go through the VA for benefits. Call it a lack of trust and my rights are more important than money
I remember hearing from veterans that if you tell your doctor at the VA or say you have problems with stuff you saw in Iraq or Asscrackistan like you saw a dead person and think you should get a check the rest of your life because you can’t work anymore that they will come and get your guns and you won’t be allowed to own them anymore and it’s true because they did it to a friend of my sons so don’t tell you’re doctor anything because they will do it if you’ve been in the military . Or military or not I meant to say.
A lot of anti-2A, anti-military rhetoric people lump all service members together as supposedly mentally damaged goods that should be blankety barred from having firearms. That is total
.
I have talked with a lot of Vietnam War Veterans and not everyone had the same experiences. Not everyone even saw combat. Not even during the same time, or same place, different things happened at different times and different places. Even members of the same units, in the same time and place brought their different personalities and psychological make up to the same conflict events and did not all have the same exact reactions to it. Everyone’s reaction was their own.
Some did have similar responses to particularly bad situations, they were decidedly traumatic, or traumatized by what they experienced. But, all people are unique, and not all had bad adjustment reactions that some experienced.
Some were not so affected, while others were profoundly affected.
There is no universal category that all can be lumped into.
Few if any who did not have shared experiences can relate to one another about those experiences and thus few share their experiences with anyone else who cannot understand what they experienced.
You cannot, or should not “interrogate” them about anything that they don’t feel comfortable about relating especially, if you are not specifically trained to be helpful, understanding, and respectful.
If you come at them judgmentally, you are none of those things, and just should not interject yourself.
Leave that for the professionals. Just being curious, or opinionated on the topic are not qualifiers.
