With body armor, rifle, and ballistics shield, which LEOs had in the school hallway, and GUTS is all it would have taken to waltz into the classroom right onto the shooter’s face and take him DOWN.

I’ve trained with Israeli troops, and more importantly been trained by Israeli troops. There is a reason that the Israeli airline El Hal has had 1, that’s right 1, hijacking in it’s history (that was in 1968). It’s not politically correct, but they discriminate. If you fit the profile, they WILL jack you the f*ck up. Period. Israel has a certain mindset that we should be willing to entertain.

In my military career, I had the honor to train with or be trained by several allied nations troops. Israel was by far the most hardcore. There are parts of the Israeli mindset that I believe we could/should emulate. If push came to shove and I couldn’t be an American citizen, the country that I would want to be a citizen of is Israel and I’m not Jewish

There is a way to protect our children in schools but the problem is twofold. Until, the political will comes to bear this will remain a problem l.

I am a jew, and it’s pretty hard to make Aaliyah.

We used to have that

Then in the 70’s-80’s things started to change, fast forward 40 years and we’ve come to a point where the safety of the saviors is more important than the safety of ducking 3rd graders.

I know a lot of LEO’s due to my K-9 donations and 2nd Amendment advocacy. Personally. None of those I know have had anything but disgust for the ā€œCoward in Browardā€ and the law enforcement response in Uvalde.

They share my thought that it’s their job to run toward the fire. Especially when there are children involved.

I know the sheer adrenaline soaked charge that comes from someone threatening my child, or someone else’s children. I’ve lived it. I know how I responded. I believe every LEO I know would respond exactly like me.

There are so many of you on this forum that I know would rise to the occasion if needed. It’s why I don’t understand Uvalde. I will never understand it. I can wrap my head around one guy who is in charge being scared or whatever the f*ck he was, I can’t wrap my head around all of those who waited though. Or not allowing those who wanted to go in go.

City of Uvalde releases records from 2022 Robb Elementary shooting

City records related to the 2022 Robb Elementary School shooting were released on Saturday after two years of litigation with a media coalition.

More than a dozen news organizations, including The Texas Tribune, ABC News and the Associated Press, filed suit in 2022 after repeatedly denied open records requests.

The records released include police body camera footage, 911 calls and other communications from Uvalde city officials and the police department related to the school shooting and its immediate aftermath.

Only minutes after the shooting had stopped, the shooter’s uncle called 911 and said he might be able to talk the 18-year-old attacker into surrendering, records released show.

ā€œI think he might listen to me,ā€ the man, who identified himself as Armando Ramos, told a 911 dispatcher. ā€œHe does listen to me.ā€

When the dispatcher put him on hold briefly, Ramos can be heard saying to someone: ā€œI think he’s shooting kids. He has the classroom hostage.ā€

Among the trove of material released by city officials, a 911 call recounts the early moments of the shooting, including a man screaming to dispatcher operators: ā€œOh my God in the name of Jesus, he’s inside the school shooting at the kids.ā€

The release includes survivors’ calls for help, including fourth-grader Khloie Torres pleading from inside the classrooms.

ā€œPlease hurry, there’s a lot of dead bodies,ā€ Khloie said. ā€œPlease, I’m going to die.ā€

ABC News previously obtained material related to the shooting, delving into the cascading series of failures by law enforcement in the news special ā€œCrisis of Commandā€ that premiered last year on ABC News Prime and Hulu.

Uvalde police body cameras had been released in July 2022 only two months after the shooting, showing confusion around the law enforcement command structure and a lack of coordination among officers to confront the shooter.

The massacre at Robb Elementary was one of the deadliest school shootings in the United States. Nineteen children and two teachers were killed at Robb Elementary on May 24, 2022. The incident took law enforcement 77 minutes to breach the classroom.

In June, the former Uvalde school district police chief Pete Arredondo and a second school officer Adrian Gonzales were charged with felony counts of abandoning or endangering a child during the police response at Robb Elementary. Both Arredondo and Gonzales pleaded not guilty.

No other responding law enforcement officers have been indicted.

How anyone could hesitate to go in after a call like that is unfathomable.

I had read that there were several LEOs and several parents who attempted to go in as soon as they got there. But they were physically restrained by other LEOs and kept from going in!!!

I know, that’s what makes this doubly distressing. I understand that the Supreme Court ruled Castle Rock v Gomez that the police have no obligation to protect the Public. But, f*ck me running. How do you ,as a Human Being, not storm the place. I can’t imagine how horrific that had to be.

I remember that day very well. I found a number online and sent 10 pizzas that day to the Uvalde Police Department.

As I mentioned in another post, they sat around scratching their collective asses in FEAR, for a very loooooooooong time until a BORTAC team literally pushed right past them and took the gunman out in just seconds.

That’s not even their jurisdiction or job!!! They just happened to be in the area and let’s just say ā€œmotivatedā€ to take over for very good reasons.

They were afraid of the kid with the gun? I’ve trained with the ā€œRealā€ SWAT guys, they are not afraid, they have numbers, tactics, equipment and training. Guaranteed the cops I trained around wouldn’t have been afraid of a single gunman, a ducking kid, with a gun… BUT maybe the women and men wee have around here are different.
