Jimmy Kimmel Topic Post

A Jimmy Kimmel subject post:

Noticed this late night show host has gotten some comments but, within other topics. Figured it crossed into sub topics of ABC, Disney, media, politics, and others.

Miss the Carson method of entertainment and laughs.

I thought if I was going to invite someone into my evening living room, if going to talk politics - I’m a little more careful, and just could never see into eyes - like I could see the eyes of other people. As the “eyes are the window to the soul”.

Got respect for anyone who stands in front of a crowd, as I suffer from “stage fright”. In humble attempt to act fair, what are some media who are opposite of The Kimmel show in terms of politics? I’m not too familiar, but I’ve also seen some controversial personalities on Fox News Channel as well.

I’m furthest from perfect, but just was never a fan, nor ever found Kimmel’s show funny.

I’ve never been a late night show fan, but I enjoyed snippets of Carson & Leno…even Fergunson and Hall, but never cared for Letterman, Colbert, O’Brien, Noah, Maier, etc. they’re just not…funny or entertaining to me. More like a bad movie you have to get to the end of.

In general, we seem to be a nation who has forgotten actual humor.

That’s be cause nowadays “actual humor” is tagged as hate speech and violence.

Judging from current late night talk shows and many 24 hour ‘news’ programs, “humor” now consists of attacking and slandering anyone who disagrees with the narrative the host/panel has been ordered to promote.

Their days of the likes of Kimmel and Colbert are numbered. Pandering to a shrinking demographic of radical enemies of our way of life is a death spiral. Good riddance.

Light travels faster than sound, which is why people appear to be bright—until they open their mouths.

Have you ever thought something was so funny that you sat and giggled about it for hours. Then you told it to your wife and now it isn’t so funny.

Carson and Leno fan. When Leno left, late night died.

I don’t find the guy funny, was not a fan of him or Carolla when they did the Man Show so never bothered to watch him do late night, which again I don’t comprehend. I sleep just fine at 9PM no need to stay up and watch garbage and being spoon fed commercials to fall asleep.

I think you guys are missing the bigger picture… Freedom of speech… I don’t have to like what you say, but you do have the right to say it. This is what concerns me… Losing freedoms no matter who is doing it. It should be just like gun rights. You guys should feel the same way about any of your rights being taken or infringed on.

President Donald Trump has issued a threat to ABC following the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live on September 23rd.

Where are the Epstein files.

Jimmy Kimmel is as free today to say what he’d like as he was two weeks ago.

They are “the brains of the outfit”, our better halves. If it passes their test, we’re good to go.

Point well taken. I’ve looked at it as a late night entertainment show, but perhaps, it’s more of a political/social issues talk show, though slanted and within their own tent/tribe. But yes, freedoms including speech runs deep, and I’d support that too.

I think he crossed a line of tact, when he brought C. Kirk into it, guess he “got called out on it”.

Peace.

While Kimmel was sidelined because of a lie, The previous administration had Google (illegally) censoring Americans because of their truths.

…and just as free to land on deaf ears!

You know what I found the most despicable about this. He used his free speech to mock someone who just got murdered for exercising their free speech. I didn’t necessarily agree with Charlie Kirk, but I respected his passion. So where are all of these (not specifically you @General_Consensus ) free speech warriors? How are these free speech warriors not excoriating the ghouls who are celebrating the murder of a good man, who’s crime was exercising his right to free speech.

The unfunny talk show host has the right to free speech, but and this is important, he is not free from the consequences of his “free speech”. His private non government employer, (Disney) showed him the consequences for his ill timed and quite honestly, reprehensible free speech. If the Government does go after him or any other person right, left, or center I’ll be worried, but til then it is settled law that there are limits on free speech such as shouting fire in a busy movie theater. What the talk show host did is very analogous to that. There are a lot of very raw people on the Right at this moment of time, watching what so many ghouls on the left are celebrating.

What I find amusing is how it’s the Left that are free speech defenders now, where in the actual fudge were these defenders of free speech at during the Biden Administration and the whole words are violence :ox::poop:? Or when Conservatives were getting cancelled for their free speech? You are either for free speech 100% of the time no matter whose free speech, or your (not you specifically @General_Consensus ) or you’re just another hypocrite (not you specifically @General_Consensus).

The one thing I can always count on for sure, is the Progressive Left’s allergy to the consequences of their actions.

The one thing you can ALWAYS count on is the lefts’ hypocrisy. They’re as two faced as Siamese twins. (No disrespect to Siamese twins.)
