Jack and Diane

One of my favorite vocalists goes completely woke. Oh well, I always thought Chrissie Hynde was a better rocker. Seriously, when you ignore the facts you end up looking the fool. “I fight authority, authority always wins.” Guess in his mind it has - completely.

What Dump(s)!

Oh man, I feel sorry for little Johnny,
How can GOD let this happen?
where do I send my ($5) bucks I give to the median hustlers
so they can buy some hootch or crack?

Is this another case of 'WHITE GUILT"?
Looking @ his picture in the article he should lay-off the facial surgeries for a while
it’s affecting his 'Critical Thinking!"

Another one bites the dust of who I won’t listen to!
He’s out of his cotton pickin’ mind !
Am I still allowed to say that?

This country is phucked up!

They just don’t understand, all they are, are just court jesters. They get paid to entertain us, that’s it. Entertain us, sing us a song, tell us a joke, or a story. Nothing more. We don’t want your political opinion, we don’t want your social opinion. Entertain us. I agree Don, another one bites the dust. It’s a shame.

I never could stand hearing him on the radio. Unfortunately at one of my jobs, I had no choice as there was only on station that was played - Top 40s Pop - how I truly hated that station, especially as an alt-rock/New Wave/punk.

Being a decent musician does not make one an expert in history, politics, culture, economics or logic. One can be a hypocrite. BTW, I wonder if he supports the 2nd Amendment or owns a gun.

Yepper Brother, I have the same deal now. Kind of a Top 40 mix (crap), he’s on it a lot… But I drive for a living now and even if it’s only got a radio it’s Classic ‘old fart’ rock and with that i can totally deal, Queen, Def Leopard, Metallica but way too much Scorpion’s, but @ least twice a shift!!! What’s up with that? I am really surprised I am not gunning for ‘Jack and Diane’ myself! (just making a yuck here folks!).
One last thing when did ‘Metallica’ get Classic? :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: !!!

They still suck - classically… :sunglasses: or is that profoundly? Whatever the proper term is, I am not sure, and I am not the lead character in “Idiocracy”. :sunglasses:

Not getting on my good side with comments like that.

“Open the door Hal!” (or is it Dave?)

I really liked the book 2001: A Space Odessey. I even have my GPS vocal command reference “HAL”.

That’s just weird brother…
Actually it’s not I just wanted to call you weird for some reason
My old M4 has ‘HAL’ Pinstriped on the upper! I liked that one ‘Door’ scene so much!
You can be scary and not have to show gallons of blood!
(my take anyway)

Actually I liked his early stuff. Learned to play some of his early songs ---- Rain on the scarecrow, Small town, Minutes to memories. He sure did weird out though. I guess the attraction was that he was a small town Indiana boy.

Never heard that song before, and after listening to a minute or two of it, I understand why.

I was a Clash fan, I liked almost all of their music, even as they turned more main-stream.
