My spelling actually started with my License plate because Caracal wasn’t available. I used to help raise and take care of Caracals and Servals.

To get this thread back on track. Evolution is not really science. Evolution is evolution. Science is science. Evolution is considered science. Really.
Evolution, like gravity, according to all available evidence, is fact. Numerous lines of inquiry all demonstrate the fact of evolution. The study of Evolution, and the testing of hypothesis about evolution is science. The Theory of Evolution, is one of the closest things to a scientific fact. In science, for something to gain the title of Theory it has to be a system of hypotheses that have survived test after test. That is the state of evolutionary science (the study of evolutionary processes).
The Theory of Evolution evolved quite a bit since Darwin’s time. There is no reason to believe it won’t evolve anymore. So, if Darwin’s version turned out to be full of holes, how does it make it a fact? Nothing better could be said about modern state of this theory.
The factual parts are skinny. Living creatures change over time and geography. Environment plays role. The end.
It didn’t do very well. The ever branching Tree of Life for example, did not survive, but turned out to be a much more complicated shape.
It is a really hard question, which science is in a sorrier state, due to evident gaps and inconsistencies in theories. Physics, life sciences and medicine, even math! Climate science is total LOL (sorry Greta). The more we know, the more we need to learn, it seems.

evolution has had over the years some very large HOLES in it…
yes there are mutations… but using them to somehow prove the theory over time FAILS…
I do NOT believe in evolution… I believe in mutations and adapting to environment…

The factual parts have a lot more to them than you listed. And it’s more than environment that plays in the selection process.
The theory did quite well, and is proven more and more as we learn and develop (genetics and DNA sequencing have proven a lot of what was already laid out even more definitively, for example…yes it did reshape the tree of what evolved to what in some cases but…it’s still evolution just a matter of sorting out the direct lineages as best as possible)
There is SO MUCH to evolution, it’s amazing.

furthermore fossilization is the process of minerals REPLACING organic tissue IIRC…
news flash the tissue may have been less then 3,000 years old BUT…
the mineral that replaced it is MUCH MUCH older…

Is evolution a science, yes without a doubt. Is evolution the truth is what the debate is truly about. Unfortunately many subscribe to the headlines or taglines, like “the science is settled.” That particular statement is a fallacy. There are many theories that need to be studied, and not just one evolutionary theory. Science is the pursuit of truth and in some cases practical application (for example physics and engineering). A theory is the best explanation based on research, evidence and experimentation, until a better one can come about or evidence or experiments prove it wrong. Actually many evolutionary Scientist may be committing a fallacy if they deny the intervention of an infinite being (for lack of a secular explanation, God.) Some Evolutionary Scientists or in other Scientific fields (very few) do acknowledge that there is some evidence of intervention of a far greater intelligence. This is one of many reasons evolution is hotly debated.
