No, “they” did not. It may have been discussed, but not acted upon, and it would be unconstitutional. I could see a blue state doing that then, they like unconstutional laws.

No I would not comply! And that is because their mandate would violate my right to defend myself given to me by my CREATOR(G-d). And it is my UNALIENABLE RIGHT TO BE ABLE TO DEFEND MYSELF ANY WAY I CHOOSE TO. Not to mention that it would be STRUCK DOWN BY THE SUPREME COURT AS BEING UNCONSTITUTIONAL AS WELL.
I’m old enough to remember the War on Poverty, War on Hunger, War on Drugs, War on Crime, and hope this bone-headed idea has as much success.
None of the aforementioned programs/initiatives resulted in the definitive end to a specific targeted issue.
I sincerely doubt Americans without guns would support living in a police state. By the way, that’s a place where only the police and military have guns.
