I just pulled the trigger

…on a new edc tactical flashlight, the Powertac from the USAA store advertised in the current Concealed Carry Magazine.
I’ve been wanting a small powerful flashlight that could dazzle an unsavory character at night, and
1200 lumens and 14400 candelas ought to do it. It’s less costly than the 1000 lumen Surefire at my local ACE hardware plus I had a $10 discount, so I’ll see how it goes when it arrives.
I’m pretty jazzed about this since it’ll start getting dark early this Winter and it will be good to have a potent light.

Good to hear. I have high intensity flashlights throughout the house: On the headboard next to the pistol, near the doors, and in the garage. One must be able to see one’s target, plus…just the intense light may be enough to disorient a potential attacker.

The one thing a person needs to remember, once your light is on that is it. Your eye vision will not work when you turn the light off and if they are not directly in the light, they know where you are. A light is a tactical and useful tool when directly confronting a perp and you need to use it tactically.
