Gateway Pundit reported the story when no other American source did. It turned out to be a true story. Pretty impressive if you ask me. They don’t have nearly the resources of large outlets.

from what I understand all the confusion came from the fact that Gateway Pundit took info directly from the houthis where as the other news sources waited for more proof before publishing as the carrier does not appear to have taken any damage. What likely happened was that the ADS shot down all the stuff before it made it leading to the confusion.
Or the Houthis are just making a big fat lie, they are terrorists after all so you never know.

Gateway Pundit never claimed any damage to the ship.
Here is what they wrote:
“Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree confirmed that the USS Harry S. Truman was directly targeted, claiming the group fired a barrage of ballistic and cruise missiles alongside drone assaults.”
“The U.S. military has yet to disclose the extent of the damage.”
How is this not credible?
