No way that Tisas is ahead of Glock gen 6 lol. Heās just hating at this point.
Iām committed to iPhone. I switched once and it went badly. iPhones just work. Theyāre not the cheapest but theyāre also not the most expensive, especially if you stay a couple gens behind⦠same as Glock. You might pay a bit more for a Glock, but itās going to be a reliable platform⦠which is the most important quality of a firearm.
Thereās definitely arguments for M&Ps and Walthers, and the echelon being better value for equal or close reliability⦠but Glock is still going to be a lot of folks go to. They are quality firearms.
Have you shot one?
I do not think Chris should have commented that this list was better than the Gen 6 without reviewing it first.
Buy one for me and Iāll review it for you! ![]()

Question is not āhave you shot oneā itās more of I know Tisas quality control is not on par with Glock. He might have the best Tisas ever made, doesnāt mean thatās everyoneās experience. Tisas is not a household name In terms of carry guns. When I think Tisas I think cheap 1911s that work.
Iām not recommending a Tisas to anyone for carry.
I have seen Glocks FTF, FTE, dead triggers, magazine spring issues.
I still have one Glock left and will say I have never had one issue with my 30 but with almost every cookie cutter polymer framed semiās you will see problems.
I had a Sig that would not fire V-Crown ammunition.
Still not recommending a Tisas over a Glock. That doesnāt mean a Tisas is necessarily bad, but to disregard Glock that way when itās been the gold standard is absurd to me.
There was a time when Glock was ahead of the pack, but now Glock is just one among many. Itās not any better that the competition. I would never recomend any particular gun to anyone as the ābestā. What feels good in the hand and shoots accurately for me, may not for someone else. Someone people like safeties, some people like DA/SA guns, some people like red dots, some people are recoil sensitive. There are a few guns that I so much wanted to like but when I shot them, it just wasnāt there for me. If a Glock feels good to you, buy it, itās super reliable and very accurate, but so are many other guns.
Very true and fair.
