Holster Materials & Choices

If you’re looking at holsters, opt for horsehide over cowhide - because horsehide (“cordovan”, for Cordoba, Spain) is tanned differently than cowhide, it requires no lining to keep it rigid and durable. Or you can go for exotics, like sharkskin or stingray - both are tough, but stingray has the edge over sharkskin. ALL are expensive as hell, so shop wisely. My holster dealer is FALCO, with a HUGE selection in nylon, leather, and Kydex. When you shop their site, pay PARTICULAR attention to your gun make and model, and to their options and detailed order format. FYI
