Why? Was it its proximity to California?

Long story short: After what happened in 2017 at the Oct. 1 shooting, NV passed laws banning them, along with bump stocks, back and forth ensued “allowed, not allowed, yada yada” and then Mid-2025, our jackwagon ATG Ford was able to get FRT’s prohibited during the FRT fiasco and will continue to do so. Heaven help us if that idiot gets elected as Gov.

Previously gray; now legal

And… Nevada goes back to the top of the list of places to move to

I read that the only “legit” Rare Breed Triggers site is https://rarebreedtriggers.com/, and to beware of fakes.

As for NV, far as I can tell they are “illegal” to purchase.

Settlement Action: The ATF agreed not to return or distribute FRTs to Nevada or other plaintiff states following a 2025 settlement that otherwise stopped federal enforcement against these devices.

State Stance: Nevada considers FRTs, which allow semi-automatic rifles to fire rapidly, to be illegal machine-gun conversion devices.

Legal Conflict: While the DOJ and some federal court rulings in 2025–2026 have moved toward allowing FRTs, Nevada is actively fighting this, citing public safety and the state’s experience with gun violence.

Risks: Possession or sale of these devices may violate state and federal regulations, and they are targeted for seizure, despite recent national-level legal challenges.

Shrug, sure looks like “try and purchase at your own risk”. Binary triggers are allowed, for now, but other types like super safeties appear to be blocked as well.

Maybe tomorrow that will change, and then on Wednesday it will change again..

What irks me is Federally, Rarebreed won against the ATF, but States are passing legislation against it.
