For 249 years, Marines have served as our Nation’s sentinels of freedom. As we celebrate our Corps ’ birthday this year, I encourage all Marines to reflect on our legacy forged in blood on battlefields since 1775, and to rededicate ourselves to carrying that legacy untarnished into the future.
Heroes, all of them, past, present and future.
From an Army Vet on my own birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINES! And to many more back to back fire fights bringing each other home.
Happy Birthday to you as well @Randy.C! Enjoy your day sir!
2025 is 250 years? I hope that the country does something magical for them.
Thank you one and all. Semper fi.
Semper Fi!
Just get them updated equipment and tools of the trade!
Happy 249th Birthday Marines!
Oorah!
cheers!
We are giving them a new CIC who gives a ■■■■.
At the Marine Corps birthday party, I was the man of honor being the oldest Marine there and I got to cut the cake. It was such an honor to be a part of such a special group of Marines,
Semper Fidelis!
At this year’s MC Birthday celebration, It was my 79th Marine Corps birthday observation and at 87 years old, I was the oldest Marine in attendance. I participated in the chin-up contest in the 60 and older group and took first place. Well, actually I was the only entrant, so got first place by default, although I did complete a partial chin-up. If I am still around next year it will be a big bash, 250 years for the Marine Corps and 80 years for me. I suspect I still might be the oldest Marine at the celebration and my goal is a complete chin-up which I plan to start working on shortly. Didn’t expect a chin=up contest, so it was a complete surprise.
Do you still put away the 3 bottles, scotch, brandy, and port? (or something like that, for graduations and deaths)
